Book #2 in Series

The second book in “The Hunger Games” trilogy had even more action than the first one. It started a bit slow with all the boys drama, and at one point I was really annoyed by Katniss’s atitude because she didn’t know what she wanted and kept hurting people, but after a while the games were back and so the action.. In this book, the fight to survive brings so much more into play: the new characters (which to trust? which to kill?), the arena with all new dangers, the twists of the story that take you by surprise.. you fell like you can’t keep track of everything this story has to offer. I couldn’t believe how even more amazingly great this book could get.

I think I would have loved this book even without the love part.. There is a lot of action, there is a lot of suspense and there are so manny twists in the story that the romances is somehow left behind and is never developed for real. We have Peeta loving Katniss with all his heart, we have Gale the best friend who could never be more that a very best friend (and i think that deep inside he knew this), and we have Katniss that can’t make her mind and always thinks about the one she can’t have.

So maybe is just me, but the pretended triangle felt so wrong, and unreal, it was just out of place, and it was only in her mind, because she was so scared of feling in love that she always put one of the guys between her and the other just to make sure she won’t fell in love, marry, have kids, see them dying in the hunger games..
It’s a bit frustrating but I guess that some of you really enjoy this kind of love stories.

What can I say? The more I read about this series, the more I need to read.. well, even more!
