This week has been crazy

So many beautiful covers have been revealed and I decided to share with you some of these amazing pieces of art. They are fresh, they are beautiful, they will steal your heart and they will look amazing on your shelf. Enjoy them and help me find a time machine, because I really need to read some of these:

Unravel Me (Shatter Me #2)
by Tahereh Mafi

Synopsis: To be revealed…

Expected publication: February 5th 2013 by HarperCollins

My Thoughts: Fans of “Shatter Me” are waiting for the next book in this exiting series and I am one of them. I loved the first book and I can’t get enough of Tahereh’s ‘flowery’ writing.
The synopsis is still to be revealed, but I hope that the wonderful writing style will still be there, and judging by the beautiful cover the striking will still make us change our mind from time to time.

And as we are talking about this series, there is one more thing that we might be waiting for: A book from Warner’s point of view! Yeeeeei!!!!

Destroy Me – (Shatter Me #1.5)
by Tahereh Mafi

Synopsis: Perfect for the fans of “Shatter Me” who are desperately awaiting the release of Unravel Me, this novella-length digital original will bridge the gap between these two novels from the perspective of the villain we all love to hate, Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45.
In Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me, Juliette escaped from The Reestablishment by seducing Warner—and then putting a bullet in his shoulder. But as she’ll learn in Destroy Me, Warner is not that easy to get rid of. . .
Back at the base and recovering from his near-fatal wound, Warner must do everything in his power to keep his soldiers in check and suppress any mention of a rebellion in the sector. Still as obsessed with Juliette as ever, his first priority is to find her, bring her back, and dispose of Adam and Kenji, the two traitors who helped her escape. But when Warner’s father, The Supreme Commander of The Reestablishment, arrives to correct his son’s mistakes, it’s clear that he has much different plans for Juliette. Plans Warner simply cannot allow.
Set after Shatter Me and before its forthcoming sequel, Unravel Me, Destroy Me is a novella told from the perspective of Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45.

Expected publication: October 2nd 2012 by HarperCollins

My Thoughts: Not sure about you, but I am all for finding more about this character. I loved Warner and I couldn’t get enough of him (to bad he is be the bad guy, I don’t see a happy ending for him)

Days of Blood and Starlight (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #2)
by Laini Taylor

Synopsis: In this stunning sequel to the highly acclaimed “Daughter of Smoke and Bone“, Karou must come to terms with who and what she is, and how far she’ll go to avenge her people. Filled with heartbreak and beauty, mysteries and secrets, new characters and old favorites, Days of Blood and Starlight brings the richness, color and intensity of the first book to a brand new canvas.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone was declared a “must read” by Entertainment Weekly, was named a Best Book of the Year by Amazon.com, and The New York Times called it “a breath-catching romantic fantasy.”

Expected publication: November 6th 2012 by Little, Brown & Company

My Thoughts: I LOVED Daughter of Smoke and Bone, I simply loved it. It was original and adventurous and a bit romantic.. and the world is so amazing I can’t ever get enough of it. I was left hanging at the end of book one and I can’t wait to see where we’re headed from there.

Asunder (Newsoul #2)
by Jodi Meadows

Synopsis:
DARKSOULS – Ana has always been the only one. Asunder. Apart. But after Templedark, when many residents of Heart were lost forever, some hold Ana responsible for the darksouls–and the newsouls who may be born in their place.
SHADOWS
Many are afraid of Ana’s presence, a constant reminder of unstoppable changes and the unknown. When sylph begin behaving differently toward her and people turn violent, Ana must learn to stand up not only for herself but for those who cannot stand up for themselves.
LOVE
Ana was told that nosouls can’t love. But newsouls? More than anything, she wants to live and love as an equal among the citizens of Heart, but even when Sam professes his deepest feelings, it seems impossible to overcome a lifetime of rejection.
In this second book in the Incarnate trilogy, Ana discovers the truth about reincarnation and will have to find a way to embrace love and make her young life meaningful. Once again, Jodi Meadows explores the extraordinary beauty and shadowed depths of the soul in a story equal parts epic romance and captivating fantasy.

Expected publication: January 29th 2013 by Katherine Tegen Books

My Thoughts: I loved Incarnate, I loved the story, the characters, the strange world, not to mention the beautiful cover. I am not sure how much I like the cover for Asunder, but I surely hope to love this book as much as I loved the first one.

Everbound (Everneath #2)
by Brodi Ashton

Synopsis: Two months ago, the Tunnels of the underworld came for Nikki Beckett. That night, Nikki’s boyfriend, Jack, made the ultimate sacrifice. All Nikki wants is to save Jack before it’s too late. All Cole wants is to find his queen – and he thinks Nikki is the one. Both determined, both desperate, Nikki and Cole form a tense alliance, leading them on a dangerous journey to The Heart of The Everneath.

Expected publication: January 22nd 2013 by Balzer+Bray/HarperCollins

My Thoughts: I loved Everneath and I was left breathless, waiting for the next book to come out. Even though I loved more the cover for the first book, this one looks great and I can assume that I will love it. 2013, please come faster!

Sever (The Chemical Garden #3)
by Lauren DeStefano

Synopsis: What if you knew exactly when you would die? In the not-too-distant future, genetic engineering has turned every newborn into a ticking time bomb — males only live to age 25 and females only live to age 20.
In this bleak landscape, young girls are kidnapped and forced into polygamous marriages to keep the population from dying out. When 16-year-old Rhine Ellery is taken by “the Gatherers” to become a bride, she enters a world of wealth and privilege. Rhine has only one purpose after she has been married to her new husband, Linden: to escape and find her twin brother.
But Rhine has more to contend with than losing her freedom. Linden’s eccentric father is bent on finding an antidote to the genetic virus that is getting closer to taking his son, even if it means collecting corpses in order to test his experiments. With the help of Gabriel, a servant to whom she is dangerously attracted, Rhine is desperate to learn the truth and protect those closest to her. But, as her sister wife Cecily keeps insisting, her role may be much bigger than that.
In the first two books of the Chemical Garden trilogy, Wither and Fever, Rhine struggles to escape the mansion and then to navigate the brutal world outside. Now in Sever, the third and final book, Rhine uncovers some shattering truths about the past that her parents never had the chance to tell her and the alarming implications regarding her own genes. She may be the one who can save the human race.

Expected publication: February 12th 2013 by Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing

My Thoughts: I still have to pick up this series to read. I fell in love with the cover for the first book (which I still think that it is the best, and as far as I heard about the story it really fits it). Maybe when this one comes out I will start reading the series and maybe I will enjoy it, even though some of my trusted book friends didn’t seem to love it that much.

The Shadow Society
by Marie Rutkoski

Synopsis: Darcy Jones doesn’t remember anything before the day she was abandoned as a child outside a Chicago firehouse. So she isn’t surprised that she doesn’t recognize Conn, the new boy at her high school, even though he seems to know her—or at least know something about her.
What does surprise her is how quickly she comes to trust Conn, and that he makes her feel both desire and desired in a way she hadn’t thought possible. But his interest in her is confusing. It doesn’t line up with the way he first looked at her.
As if she was his enemy.
When Conn betrays Darcy and she is arrested, she realizes that she can’t rely on anything—not Conn, not herself, and not even the laws of nature. Because this world isn’t the only one. Darcy belongs in an alternate world where the Great Chicago Fire never happened, and deadly creatures called Shades terrorize the human population.
Darcy needs some answers.
And she hates that the person most able to help her get them is Conn.

Expected publication: October 30th 2012 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux

My Thoughts: Well, this sounds intriguing and it somehow matches the upside-down cover. I am really eager to read this and I hope it won’t disappoint. So many books to come, so many promising stories, you will definitely have some trouble choosing what to read first (I know I will)!

Breaking Point (Article 5 #2)
by Kristen Simmons

Synopsis: To be revealed…

Expected publication: February 5th 2013 by Tor Teen

My Thoughts: We don’t have yet a description for it, but fans of the first book are waiting for it impatiently. I didn’t get to finish the first book, so I can’t say that I am eager for this one, but the cover is amazingly beautiful so I hope that your waiting will be worth it.

So this is guys, if there is any other cover that has been revealed these days and you want me to feature it as well, just let me know and I’ll add it to this wonderful list of soon to come stories.

Happy midnight reading!

Hi Ari, I recently saw the new cover release of Everbound, sequel to Everneath, and that was a beautiful cover as well. In fact, I think it’s even prettier than the cover of Everneath which is gorgeous in itself! Anyway, I’m definitely most excited about the release of Days of Blood and Starlight and can’t wait till its release!(: Great post Ari! 😀

Interesting list. Looks like they’re changing direction with the Tahereh Mafi series… Wonder why.

    • Ari says:

I wonder that too. And even though I found the cover for the first book more fitting, I really appreciate the look of the new covers – really beautiful artworks!

Recently I was REALLY low on cash and debts were eating me from all sides! That was UNTIL I decided to make money.. on the internet! I went to surveymoneymaker dot net, and started filling in surveys for cash, and surely I’ve been far more able to pay my bills! I’m so glad, I did this!! With all the financial stress these years, I really hope all of you will give it a chance. – ryjq
